Sodium cyclamate, also known as sodium cyclamate, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H12NNaO3S. It is a commonly used sweetener with a sweetness 30 to 40 times that of sucrose. White crystalline or white crystalline powder, odorless, sweet, easily soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol, insoluble in chloroform and ether. Slightly decomposes under acidic conditions and remains stable under alkaline conditions. It is a non nutritional sweetener with a bitter taste when the concentration is greater than 0.4%.
